Salient Labs was started in 2010 with the idea that there was a large void in the skin care and hair care market space for small lot manufacturing and development. With over 10 years experience in formulating, creating and marketing skin care products to the professional market as Advanced Skin Technology, we found it difficult to source manufacturing partners that would work with small production runs.

After several years of research, we have developed a flexible development and manufacturing process that is designed to work around your needs, instead of you working around the manufacturers needs.

Salient Labs operates as a division of Advanced Skin Technology which was founded in 2001 by husband and wife team, Kevin & Carolyn Katechis. We are located in the University of Alabama Birmingham's biotechnology incubator Innovation Depot. This facility allows us to operate a world class lab that ensures your products are created in a sterile and clean environment.

We are an FDA registered facility and follow good manufacturing processes that will ensure that your products meet the most stringent government requirements of product safety.
